The Mountain 2 Fountain 15K/5K is the premier race in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The 15K run starts at McDowell Regional Park and in runs thru the beautiful Town of Fountain Hills while finishing at the iconic Fountain Plaza.

Registered participants will get the following items.

  • Any registrations after 2/12 will be given a t-shirt upon availability

  • T-shirt exchanges – All participants will get the t-shirt size they ordered, all size exchanges are done after the event and upon availability.

Enter a team of 4 and win one scoring runners weight in BEER

All teams must have 4 or more runners.  At least 4 members must finish the 15K course within the 2-hour time limit to be eligible.  Each team must stay within the age guideline’s (minimum age is 12 years old).  Females may enter a male team, however, no males are allowed on a female team.  One member of the scoring team is allowed on our “Beer Scale” to win that person’s weight in Beer.

• Open Male – Ages 12 and up, all males
• Open Female – Ages 12 and up, all females
• Master Male – Ages 40 and up, all males
• Master Female – Ages 40 and up, all females
• Mixed Open – Ages 12 and up, at least 2 males and 2 females
• Mixed Master – Ages 40 and up, at least 2 males and 2 females
• Mixed Public Service – All members of the team must be employed in their field
• Biggest team with most finishers

Beer Scale

The first-place team in the following categories will get an opportunity to get a team member for the beer scale.

The course is a point to point, starting at McDowell Regional Park and finishing at Fountain Plaza.

Frequently asked questions.

• Can I pick up a race packet for a friend/family member if I go on Friday or Saturday?
  • Yes, but you need to have their printed confirmation email with barcode available.
• Is there gear check at the startling line?
  • Yes, make sure you bring your gear bag and gear tag.
• Can I run with my dog?
  • As much we love our pets, for their safety and your safety dogs are not allowed on the 15K course.
• Can I run with a stroller?
  • We run about 4 miles a the bike lane, unfortunately it will not be safe to have a stroller on the 15K course.
• Can I drive to the start of the race.
  • We don’t suggest to drive to the start as we do not provide transportation to the starting line after the event.
• Can I switch from the 15K to 5K?
  • Yes, however there are no credits or refunds.
• Can I switch from the 5K to 15K?
  • Yes, but you would need to pay the price difference of the current registration price.
• Is there a time limit on the 15K?
  • Yes, runners must finish the course within the 2 hour time limit. (12:54 min/mi)

Awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female as well to the top 3 male and female in the following age groups.

19 and Under
20 to 29
30 to 39
40 to 49
50 to 59
60 to 69
70 and over

Top 3 overall male and female does not get an age group award.
